- Located in Alpharetta, GA
- Since its inception, Country Club of the South Charity Guild has raised and distributed close to $3 million to local charities,
focused on family and children’s support services. Over $1,825,000 awarded in the last five years.
- 250+ Members. Members are residents and club members of Country Club of the South. In 2005, the Charity Guild passed a referendum allowing a limited number of outside membership. Outside members must be sponsored by 2 full members of the Charity Guild. Non-resident memberships may not exceed 20% of total Guild membership.
- Membership dues of $35 per year cover operational costs.
- 100% volunteer participation. No paid staff.
- Board of Directors elected each year by the membership.
- Each year, selected charities receive grants of $5,000 to $40,000.
- Grant application process and forms available at www.charityguild.org.
- Eligible charities must be sponsored by a Charity Guild member, must complete a nomination form, submit audited financials
and specify how grant funds will be used.
- Country Club of the South is a private, gated, golf club community of over 700 families. CCS is home to many of Atlanta’s
most prominent business executives, professional athletes, entertainers and their families.

The Country Club of the South Charity Guild is a nonprofit volunteer organization located in Alpharetta, GA and dedicated
to supporting outstanding Atlanta area charities.
What charities are eligible to receive gifts from the Guild?
Metropolitan Atlanta charities are eligible to receive gifts from the Guild. Each charity must be sponsored by a Charity
Guild member. Forms for requesting grants are available from the Director of Charities, Pam Vickers.
How effective can a neighborhood charity guild really be?
In the nineteen years since the group began, close to $3 million has been distributed to local charities. Recently, average
yearly distributions have risen to $200,000 per year.
