2008 Charity Recipients


Major Gifts
Charities may apply for gifts up to $40,000. Major Gift recipients each year are chosen from applicants by a vote of the Guild members.

Grants
Additional grant requests up to $5,000 are awarded each year by the Guild.



Congratulations to the charities voted by the CCOS Charity Guild membership to receive funding for 2008! The major charities selected are:
AtlantaChildrensShelter
Atlanta Children's Shelter: Atlanta Children’s Shelter provides loving,quality, childdevelopment and support services for homeless families striving to become self-sufficient.


Cure Childhood Cancer:
Cure Childhood Cancer is a non-profit organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through research, education, patient and family support.


House of Hope: Provides recovery programs, life-skill training and faith-based counseling to men, women, and children with alcohol and drug addiction



Children's Restoration Network:To offer hope and support, enabling children and their mothers to break the cycle of homelessness by empowering them to become part of mainstream society as active, productive citizens through programs and special events designed to address their
educational, emotional, and physical needs.


North Fulton Community Charities: North Fulton Community Charities offers hope and dignity to North Fulton families in need of emergency assistance with rent, food, utilities, transportation, clothing, and medical services.

The minor charities selected are:

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health of well-being of children.


Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated ChronsColitstofinding the cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerativecolitis.

The Study Hall At Emmaus Hall, Inc. Our mission is to encourage and empower thePeoplestown community children and families to become productive contributors to society through education and enrichment activities.


We look forward to partnering with these dynamic organizations that provide so much to the less fortunate in our communities.
