| Alzheimer’s
Association, Georgia Chapter sponsors research for cure and treatment of those stricken with Alzheimer’s disease.
It also provides care and support to individuals, families and caregivers as they strive to cope with the physical, mental,
and emotional impact of this disease.
Jesse’s
House provides emergency care and shelter to girls ages 7 to 17 who are victims of abuse or neglect. A treatment plan
is developed for each resident to meet their medical, psychological, and educational needs. Upon discharge from Jesse’s
House, the girls receive assistance in making the transition to their new home.
The
Atlanta Children’s Shelter provides high quality loving childcare and support services to homeless families striving
for self-sufficiency. While the children are cared for in the Early Childcare Program, the parents participate in counseling
and social services to help them with employment and housing resettlement.
Cure Childhood
Cancer provides a broad range of support programs, resources and services designed to meet the needs of children suffering
from cancer and the families of the children as they cope with the devastating problems of cancer and its treatment.
North Fulton
Community Charities helps to prevent homelessness by supporting families in their homes during short term emergencies.
Assistance with rent, utilities, transportation, food, clothing medicine, and dental care is available, along with daycare
and holiday support. The organization offers support to hard working families, single parents, and seniors who need a temporary
bridge to financial independence.
